Children can talk about the things they like at Christmas using their senses and experiences e.g. what they like to eat or watch on TV. They can then complete the sentences or draw a picture. Here is a simple Autumn tale reading and writing activity. Children can read the text and fill in the missing words. The answers are given in red on the next slide and the pictures around the colour border help children with the words they need. There is a blank border page where children can make up their own Autumn tale and use the pictures to help them.
